One of the key components to success is allowing yourself to reflect on the success and failures of others. This can ring true as a factual statement in nearly element of life, but especially true in the world of health and wellness.

As science is forever changing and athletes become essentially become bionic machines with the great successes that are being achieved, it’s critical to understand how fundamental fitness will always dominate the scene.

The evolution of body building as a whole has been pretty incredible to study and witness over time and as the industry is currently coming out of the crossfit and HIIT phase, to more and more athletes attempting to step on stage. This shift is largely attributed to social media putting a spotlight on the sport of body building and the glorification of achieving success on stage. The “look at me” element is also a HUGE factor as everybody these days seems to allow others dictate how they should attempt to look, and the concept of positive body image is taking hold of national conversations.

It’s in these times we can truly learn from our fitness founding fathers such as Joe Weider, Arnold, Frank Zane, and the many lists of greats that essentially put in all the hard work learning what worked and how to get the most out of the human body while using the best of BASICS available in conjunction to applying the fundamental fitness approach of “see weight, move weight till you can’t anymore”.

So sit back, study, learn from others than have been there done that, don’t over complicate it, and most importantly…….. FITNESS IS HARD WORK, SO NEVER GIVE UP!
